About Our Services
What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a method of treatment useful with people suffering from a wide range of psychological and emotional problems.
In a therapeutic relationship, the psychotherapist offers the client an opportunity to explore their thought processes, feelings, lifestyle and behaviour. The aim is to alleviate individuals’ distress by helping them to understand their inner conflicts and use their own resources to deal with their difficulties.
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a process of mental exploration, which gives the client a renewed perspective of their situation.
Clients are enabled to identify, clarify, and understand their concerns, discover choices and more appropriate courses of action and finally to act in ways that bring about positive and productive change.
What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a branch of complementary medicine, which uses the application of hypnotic techniques to bring about beneficial changes desired by the client. It should not be confused with stage hypnotism.
In the clinical environment the clients remains in control at all times, whilst the therapist seeks to help them uncover hidden motivations, to see things in a different perspective and to gain the confidence required to achieve their goals.
